No way out now

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Former Trump White House adviser Mick Mulvaney now says he believes Cassidy Hutchinson is telling the truth, and he expects that her testimony today will open the floodgates for other Trump people to also feel compelled to testify.

Mulvaney is a piece of crap but he’s correct. After today, it’ll be almost impossible for Mark Meadows not to flip. He’s 62 years old. Seditious conspiracy is a 15 year prison sentence, plus any other additional charges he’ll face. He’s now on track to go to prison for the rest of his life.

Cassidy Hutchinson’s highly credible testimony, which has likely already been corroborated by other witnesses behind closed doors, is enough to convict Meadows. He has no way out of this. So is he crazy enough to throw his life away, or will he now flip? If he hasn’t flipped already.

Keep in mind that Meadows would need to negotiate any cooperation deal with the DOJ. He can’t just cut a deal with the committee. And it’s not clear that the DOJ would then let Meadows publicly testify to the committee, while it’s still using his cooperation to indict others.
