No surprise here
People in rural areas favor the GOP. That’s a fact, just like it’s a fact that people in densely populated urban areas favor the Democratic party. When Donald Trump won the 2024 election, we at Palmer Report said that Trump voters would feel his wrath the strongest. And so they have and they will. They especially will with what Trump has just done.
Trump has decided to end the Digital Equity Act. He says he wants to end it because it is “woke.” (Quick aside. “Woke” is a word I doubt Donald Trump could ever define.) This act, established by former President Biden, provides rural Americans high-speed internet. This act makes it possible for people to receive high-speed internet service, but apparently, for the trump team, the poor and the downtrodden having access to the internet is an inconceivable and woke idea.
Trump also says it’s illegal. My gosh, would SOMEONE PLEASE give this man a brain? Or even one brain cell? I suppose I ask for too much. The language in this act, saying people can’t be blocked from high-speed internet, takes its words directly from the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Trump does not believe in Civil Rights, so it would seem. Now, who do YOU think will be most affected? Let’s look at this together. Many states have approved making internet access more accessible to their residents, who desperately need it. Here are some of these states:
Iowa
Kansas
Alabama
Indiana
Arkansas
Ah, my friends, notice a pattern? They’re all red states. It is a fact that red states regularly rank highest in things like poverty and low economic opportunity. This most certainly won’t help. But you see it’s all the same to Turmp. So many little rabbits were sucked into the rabbit hole. They actually started to believe this man CARED about them, that their stories TOUCHED him, that the lunatic went to sleep at nigh, WORRIED for the poor little bunnies, that he wept for them, Cried for them, and fought for them.
Of course, now they’re finding out the truth. They’re finding out that their leader is a bleeder—he bleeds THEM— only them. He uses them, and he will continue to use them whenever and however he can. But HELPING them? SOLVING their issues? One may as well ask for the stars.
