NO MORE

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump is not president. We all know it, but apparently, he doesn’t. He’s always hatefully telling people something he’s going to do to harm them, but there’s a problem: he’s not president. He can’t do anything. Hopefully, he won’t be president on November 6, and we can joyously never see his vile, hateful, ugly face again. In fact, I’m throwing a party, and you’re all invited.

His latest claim, from the Independent, is that he’s going to withhold firefighting funds from California because FEMA isn’t doing enough. Did I miss a natural disaster in California? No, the idiot is referring to Hurricane Helene. He just hates California, and the feeling is mutual. Trump is running around lying about aide to hurricane victims while striking out at a state that goes to Democrats every year. Get over it. The thing is a former Trump administration officer named Mark Harvey told Politico that while in office, Trump delayed disaster aid for California’s wildfires, so this threat is nothing new for him. He doesn’t, however, have the power to do anything to anyone. People want this lunatic back in office why? He’s crazy, crass, and the most unpresidential president this country has ever had. No way do we need him back.

Trump’s opponent is even more attractive because she’s not him—she’s nothing like him. Instead of talking, Vice President Harris does. Stopping in at the Pit Authentic Barbecue to learn more about their relief efforts, Harris rolled up her sleeves and helped the owner and his workers pack relief boxes for people who were impacted by Hurricane Helene. According to AP, the workers and Vice President Harris formed an assembly line and packed bandages, baby formula, baby wipes, diapers, pain relief pills, and various other items. Sure, she’s campaigning, but you get the distinct feeling that she wants to do things like this if it helps the people of this country. Instead of threatening and throwing paper towels at them, Harris cares about people and will ensure our needs are met in times of disaster. Harris went straight from Raleigh to Greenville, where a church was holding her campaign’s “Souls to the Polls” event.

A “letter to the editor” of L.A. Times makes clear that she does not want a return to office of Donald Trump. She was mostly referring to Trump’s inadequacies during the pandemic, but one thing she said is the way many of us feel: “So let’s pause when we think of turning our government back over to a leader who acted so selfishly and ineptly during a crisis.” And that is what he will do again if he returns to the White House. It is hard to believe there are Latinos willing to vote for a man who despises their very existence, and even harder to believe that Blacks want to support a proven racist. Frankly, this country might not survive another four years of Trump. Please don’t think I’m presenting VP Harris as the “lesser of two evils;” she is more qualified, more caring, and her spent her career preparing for this moment.
