Donald Trump has no idea what just hit him

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $2097 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

If you were to ask Donald Trump about how Sunday went for him, he’d probably tell you he had a pretty good day. He made it through a CBS interview without causing any major new humiliation for himself. His team even won the Super Bowl. But in the big picture, which Trump can’t see, the events of Sunday quietly added up to make this one of his worse (if not necessarily worst) days so far.

For starters, Donald Trump’s mouth did in fact get him in trouble on Sunday; he just doesn’t know it yet. He told CBS that he doesn’t know whether he’ll allow the Department of Justice to make Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report public. Wow, so the idiot really does think that Mueller is simply going to file a report in the end and go home. Trump just gave away that he has no idea what’s about to hit him. Also, somewhere in there, Trump found a way to spell “dimensions” with three n’s in it. It got worse for him.

It looks like Trump’s longtime partner in Russian money laundering crime Deutsche Bank finally said screw it and sold him out. And in a sign of just how much the smart people in the Trump-Russia scandal are worried about what Robert Mueller is about to do, Russian billionaire Emin Agalarov just canceled a planned trip to the United States because he’s afraid Mueller will scoop him up and not let him go.

Donald Trump may have actually dodged a bullet on Sunday, in a way, when Axios made the strategic mistake of publishing the story about Trump spending 60% of his “workday” watching cable news. The mistake was that no one paid attention to the story because everyone was too busy watching the Super Bowl. Oh, and by the way, the Super Bowl didn’t really go Trump’s way. Sure, he’s friends with the Patriots team owner and head coach. But the majority of Patriots players will still boycott his White House. Besides, after his fast food debacle last time, what’s he going to feed them this time? Dog food?
