No going back now
I’d like to talk about the gifted ones. We’re all gifted in one way or another. We all have unique talents, things we love and do well. But I specifically refer to the ones who were gifted with the precious talent of activism.
This includes you, dear readers — it includes any and everyone who, without fear, takes on evil and speaks truth to power. These people ARE gifts — for without them, we would not have made the progress that we have. And we’ve made so much. It would be a shame to let it all go in the face of GOP evil.
And we face much evil. Already, the GOP, freshly emboldened, are moving on to the next phase in their war on women. What many are talking openly about doing now is preventing women from seeking legal abortions in other states if abortion is banned on their own.
“I think I can speak for myself and other colleagues that align with my policy beliefs — we’ll continue to do our best to make abortion not just outlawed but unthinkable,” said Texas Rep. Briscoe Cain. Cain also said he wants to go after abortion funds.
Florida Senator Marco Rubio is also seemingly chomping at the bit to imprison women’s bodies. He is reportedly introducing a bill that would prohibit companies from getting tax breaks if they help women with abortion expenses, including “interstate abortion.”
This was never about abortion, my friends. You see them now — like drooling puppies – they cannot seem to restrain themselves. Their venom is tumbling out of their psyches as venom tends to do. The Supreme Court has opened another Pandora’s box. The box of misogyny.
It’s the Republican box — containing all their most lascivious dreams as they relate to women. They wish to crush us — put us inside the box — stifle our independence — muffle our dreams.
The good news is that the GOP has taken their hate too far. The backlash has begun. The gifted ones have arrived. Nothing is going in the box except for the dreams of republicans to rule over us. Those dreams will be clobbered come election day.
