Nikki Haley had it coming
Now that Donald Trump has decided to bet his reelection prospects on the notion that he can somehow convince a majority of voters that President Obama is the ringleader of a massive criminal conspiracy, some of his sycophants are playing along a little too eagerly. What Trump’s butt kissers don’t get is just how rarely this works out in their favor.
Take Nikki Haley for instance. She was the Governor of South Carolina and a rising star in the Republican Party. Then she made the huge mistake of joining the Trump administration, and now she’s a punchline and her political career is over. The irony is that once your career and reputation are ruined by your association with Trump, you have nowhere else to go, so you end up continuing to beg Trump for scraps that may not ever land.
To that end, Haley is now accusing President Obama and Joe Biden of somehow having been in on a conspiracy to frame Michael Flynn for… crimes that Flynn has already confessed to in detail? Wait, that can’t be right. No, it’s right. Haley is all-in on destroying what little was left of her reputation, by pushing Donald Trump’s latest mentally incompetent conspiracy theory. Haley is a complete joke now, and she had it coming.
We all know why Haley is doing this. Trump has subtly hinted that if Nikki Haley plays her cards right, he might drop Mike Pence from the 2020 ticket in favor of Haley. Sure, that could happen, because at this point Trump is so thoroughly on track to lose, he could end up trying any desperation move. But even if Trump does throw Haley a bone, he’ll be massively screwing the ever-loyal Pence in the process, which means Trump will just turn around and screw over Haley later. He’s loyal to no one. He destroys those who are most loyal to him. And yet greedy gullible idiots keep signing up to be destroyed by him.
