Nice try Donald Trump
It is coming up, faster than the speed of light, able to destroy traitors in a single bound. That is — Donald Trump’s first criminal trial. As Bill Palmer has laid out for you, Donald Trump has filed an immunity claim, trying to get out of Alvin Bragg’s criminal case against him.
It won’t work. People, we should all be taking this case VERY seriously. Not only is it coming up in a few weeks, but it is also far, far more serious than many realize. If convicted, Trump could be facing jail time. Many don’t seem to understand this. If one thinks about it, this is similar to the Michael Cohen case but worse.
Trump is probably terrified, hence the filing. If Donald Trump were not terrified, he’d never have recycled this frivolous motion in the first place.
So our traitor (our orange traitor) is desperately trying to escape Lady Justice. Hence, this sad sack of a filing. He has tried this before. It did not work then, and it is not going to work now.
Jury selection will soon begin. And then — and then we move forward and have a trial. So yes, anyone thinking the penalty is a mere slap on the wrist should think again. These are very serious charges, and I, for one, hope that once Trump is found guilty (he will be) he will receive a prison sentence.
