Donald Trump panics after New York pounces
Last week the Manhattan DA confirmed that a New York grand jury is targeting Donald Trump for a variety of financial crimes. Last night the news broke that the grand jury has had Trump’s Deutsche Bank financial records for months. This morning the New York Attorney General announced legal action against the NRA, which helped funnel dirty foreign money into Trump’s 2016 campaign.
You can almost smell the desperation in Donald Trump’s latest tweet: “Just like Radical Left New York is trying to destroy the NRA, if Biden becomes President your GREAT SECOND AMENDMENT doesn’t have a chance. Your guns will be taken away, immediately and without notice. No police, no guns!”
New York took down the Trump Foundation. Now it’s taking down the NRA, even as a grand jury moves forward with the process of criminally indicting Donald Trump and the Trump Organization. Trump is giving away that he knows where this is headed. He’s frantically trying to spin these moves into some kind of gun debate. Instead it’s simply about New York dismantling the criminal enterprises run by Trump and his allies – and it’s closing in on them.
