Donald Trump goes berserk after New York City decides to paint “Black Lives Matter” outside Trump Tower
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has announced that within the next several days, the words “Black Lives Matter” will be painted on the street in front of Trump Tower. This comes after Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser did the same thing outside the White House. Suffice it to say, Trump isn’t taking the news well.
Donald Trump posted this completely unhinged tweet:
Told that @NYCMayor Bill de Blasio wants to paint the fabled & beautiful Fifth Avenue, right in front of Trump Tower/Tiffany, with a big yellow Black Lives Matter sign. “Pigs in a Blanket, Fry ‘Em Like Bacon”, referring to killing Police, is their chant. NYC Police are furious!

To be clear, that is certainly not the Black Lives Matter slogan, and there is no evidence that the NYPD is “furious” about development. But Trump never met a losing argument he didn’t want to lose even more thoroughly, so he also posted this tweet:
Black Lives Matter leader states, “If U.S. doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it”. This is Treason, Sedition, Insurrection!

Donald Trump doesn’t appear to know what a metaphor is, as a “system” is concept that can’t be literally burned down. Of course with all the explicitly violent tweets that Trump has been posting of late, you’d think he’d want to avoid a debate about what constitutes violent rhetoric. In any case, Trump just accused the Black Lives Matter movement of being treasonous. This racist clown has totally lost it.
