New trouble for Trump stooge Ronny Jackson

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump’s former White House doctor Ronny Jackson is best known for having claimed Trump only weighed 239 pounds, and for an endless series of media reports alleging that Jackson passed out pills like candy to Trump world and harassed women while he was drunk. So of course Republicans ended up making Jackson a member of Congress.

But now Jackson is facing new trouble. Awhile back he was referred to the House Ethics Committee for alleged financial improprieties. Today the committee announced that it’s extending its probe into Jackson. The committee is being careful to state that this doesn’t mean he’s guilty of anything. But the extension does make clear that the committee, which is Republican controlled, couldn’t find a way to dismiss the Jackson probe immediately.

The committee now says that the results of the probe could be announced in June. We’ll see if the committee is planning to use the probe as an excuse to get rid of the troublesome Jackson, who could easily be replaced with another Republican in his far right district in November. House Ethics Committee probes also come with the possibility of a criminal referral for prosecution if the evidence supports it.
