New trouble for President Elon Musk
The deafening roars of the protests are inescapable. People are taking it to the streets. They are protesting President Elon Musk. Perhaps you saw, my friends, the “president’s” idiotic Fox interview. Looking for all the world like an ineffectual blob fish, Donald Trump sat limply next to Musk, appearing dazed and VERY confused.
The American people are noticing because while there are protests against both Trump and Musk, the Musk haters are starting to be equal to, if not outnumber, the Trump haters. Protests are happening in major cities nationwide but also coming to suburbs and smaller towns. It’s not just “not my president.” It’s not my elected muskrat.
I can’t help but wonder how Donald Trump feels about these protests. Donald Trump’s behavior lately has become highly maladaptive even by his standards. People speculate online that Elon Musk has something on him, but I don’t believe that’s it. As I said, I think Trump, part of him anyway; is somewhat relieved that Musk is assuming the reins because it gives trump more time to eat cheeseburgers and play golf.
You may think I’m being cavalier, but I promise you I’m not. We know Trump never really wanted to be the president the first time he ran! Numerous people close to him have said he was actually stunned he did win in 2016; at first, he was reported not to be very happy about it.
Now, a little older, a little grayer, and a LOT more senile, it would stand to reason that while he might want the title of president, he doesn’t actually want to do the work that comes with being president. So he’s turned it over to an unhinged muskrat. That is the only explanation that genuinely makes sense
But I mean this with all seriousness. I can’t help but wonder if Donald Trump will start to get angry about the protests. Perhaps these protests might double backfire on Elon Musk because Donald Trump is so competitive with everyone, and in this case, he might not like that Musk is the name being spoken in the street, that Musk is the person people are whispering about, not him because Trump can’t go for long without having everything be about him. This is just guaranteed to make him even angrier.
