New development in the special election to replace George Santos

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

George Santos. Gone and forgotten. It is lovely to know that Santos will never be a part of Congress again. his is a seat we can and must win. In that regard, there is a bit of news. Tom Suozzi is running for the seat.

Suozzi is a compelling candidate. He is the youngest of five siblings and was born in Glen Cove, New York. Suozzi started his career as an accountant but earned his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law.

Suozzi was Mayor of Glen Cove, for four terms starting in 1993. So, as you can see, he has the experience to know about the people of New York and what issues are important to them. He is also a six-million-dollar candidate. I say this because $6 million is the amount of money Democrats plan to spend on this political race.

The Democrats want this seat and are willing to spend money to get it. They will spend $3.7 million on Television ads. $1.5 million will go to advertising on digital platforms. This district is quite competitive. It includes parts of both Queens and Long Island. This district needs to be won by us.

“Serving as a public official has allowed me to do what I always dreamed of doing: help people, clean up pollution, build buildings, solve problems and try to make peoples’ lives better.”

These words are from the candidate himself and can be found on his Congressional website. So, let’s all save his website to favorites and work on getting this man elected. Donations, following him on social media, telling New Yorkers about him are all things we can do.

George Santos is gone and forgotten. The air is a bit purer without the stench of his lies. Now, we have a sensitive, intelligent, decent man attempting to win the open seat. Let’s make sure that he does.
