New data shows January 6th public hearings are indeed changing people’s minds
So many smug and self-righteous pundits came out negatively against the January 6 hearings. They wouldn’t matter, these people insisted. Nobody will watch. And if they do, no minds will be changed. The joke’s on them.
Not only are some peoples’ minds being changed, A LOT of people are watching and changing their minds. We see it in the ratings. We see it in the polls. Donald Trump is a dirty traitor, and most know it. And let’s look at this curious news about Wisconsin swing voters.
There was a focus group of these voters by Engagious/Schlesinger. And the results show — swing voters want Donald Trump behind bars. Two online focus groups were done. There were 14 people from Wisconsin.
The makeup of the voters was one Democrat and one Republican, and the other dozen were independents. And these voters overwhelmingly thought Trump should be prosecuted. The moderator pushed back, but the respondents did not waver. “Voters were adamant that such a move would help deter similar attempts by anyone else in the future to overthrow the Government.”
Overthrowing the Government was what the insurrectionists tried to do, which is a fact, not an opinion. And it appears these respondents feel the same. “We have to show other people that this just can’t be done in the future,” one member of the focus group said.
So take that, fake news pundits. Perhaps your smugness will dissipate a bit, though that is maybe asking for the impossible. But in the real world — a world where decency still matters — most can see the truth. And the fact is, this is great news for the committee, for the Democrats and for America.
