Nancy Pelosi is about to drop an impeachment bomb on Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Tonight was already slated to be a high profile night for the Democrats, as their 2020 presidential primary debate is scheduled to start at 8pm eastern time. But now it turns out a potentially even bigger televised event is also taking place this evening, courtesy of Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

Nancy Pelosi tweeted this just now: “I will be taking questions from reporters tonight at 6:30 pm ET following House Democrats’ Caucus meeting.” She added the hashtag #TruthExposed. She hasn’t provided additional details, but NBC News is reporting that her press conference will specifically be about the impeachment process against Donald Trump.

What’s notable is that Pelosi isn’t just calling the media together to give a prepared statement about Trump’s impeachment. She’s making a point of taking questions, which strongly suggests that she’s announcing something big. You don’t announce something underwhelming and then take questions.

This leaves us trying to parse Nancy Pelosi’s “Truth Exposed” hashtag. Over the past few days, multiple current and former members of the Trump administration have testified to the House impeachment inquiry about Donald Trump’s Ukraine crimes, but it’s all been behind closed doors. Just what is Pelosi about to expose? Are we about to see the first formal articles of impeachment introduced? We’ll soon find out.
