Nancy Pelosi kicks Donald Trump while he’s down
Donald Trump just can’t stop whining. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has once again outfoxed him, by impeaching him but then not turning over the articles of impeachment to a complicit Republican Senate. There’s nothing Trump can do about it but whine, because he’s lost this round and he knows it. Now Pelosi is kicking him while he’s down.
Nancy Pelosi posted this tweet, explaining why she’s not merely arbitrarily sitting on the articles of impeachment; she has a valid constitutional reason for not having sent the articles to the Senate yet: “The House cannot choose our impeachment managers until we know what sort of trial the Senate will conduct. President Trump blocked his own witnesses and documents from the House, and from the American people, on phony complaints about the House process. What is his excuse now?”
Donald Trump is responding by finding whole new ways to pout. He’s accusing Nancy Pelosi of “Obstruction of the Senate,” whatever that’s supposed to mean. Trump is also bizarrely asserting that Pelosi “knows nothing about the USMCA Deal,” which considering Trump’s consistent habit of projection, is an apparent confession that he has no idea what’s in the deal. Trump is off the rails.
