With a deadly pandemic going on, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi instituted remote voting for House members. But because House Republicans don’t believe in democracy, they challenged it in court. As is generally the case when Pelosi is involved, she ended up winning.

Pelosi said this: “The dismissal of the House GOP lawsuit against remote voting by proxy is welcome news and hopefully the end of this sad Republican effort to obstruct the House from meeting the needs of the American people during the coronavirus crisis.”
