Nancy Pelosi just preempted Donald Trump’s press briefing
Well that’s one way to get Donald Trump’s idiotic and lie-filled press briefings off the air. The cable news networks have been wrestling with how much or little of Trump’s daily propaganda briefings to show live on the air, sometimes tuning in late or cutting away periodically. But today we saw something new altogether.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi appeared on MSNBC this evening for a lengthy interview, right in the middle of Donald Trump’s press briefing. Her availability prompted MSNBC to decide not to bother airing the briefing, during which time Trump was taking questions from White House correspondents.
We don’t have any way of knowing for sure if Nancy Pelosi made herself available at that particular point in time specifically so she could interrupt Donald Trump. But she managed to push Trump off the air, so we’re going to go ahead and give Pelosi the win on this one.
