Welcome to the nadir
“President” Donald Trump is scared. We know this from his tantrums he denies having, and we know it from the way he flies off the handle with extreme positions and directives. Today might be one of those nearing the nation’s nadir. Tonight, via his Press Secretary and then via Twitter, Trump took all limits off and is out to prove that he did not commit crimes, that he was not corrupt, but that he was the victim.
Trump tweeted: “Today, at the request and recommendation of the Attorney General of the United States, President Donald J. Trump directed the intelligence community to quickly and fully cooperate with the Attorney General’s investigation into surveillance activities during the 2016 Presidential election. The Attorney General has also been delegated full and complete authority to declassify information pertaining to this investigation, in accordance with the long-established standards for handling classified information. Today’s action will help ensure that all Americans learn the truth about the events that occurred, and the actions that were taken, during the last Presidential election and will restore confidence in our public institutions.”
Attorney General William “FuBarr” has directed the intelligence community to address the alleged surveillance. If this were not reality, it would be comical – think of John Gotti, Mafia Kingpin, turning the table and showing that he was a victim when the Ravenite Social Club and the apartment above it were bugged.
Declassifying information is a big deal – especially when it comes from the guy and his toady FuBarr, who are refusing to allow Congress or the public to see so much of the Mueller report, including grand jury testimony. Given that Barr and his intentions are not pure and directed at truth, whatever we “learn” from him will do everything except provide us with confidence in the system. We are in danger and quickly heading right off the cliff.
