Donald Trump just gave something big away about Robert Mueller’s report

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $2097 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,

One of the most effective ways for containing and defeating Donald Trump is to listen to him whenever he runs his mouth – painful as it may be – and figure out what delusions he’s working with at any given point in time. For instance, during his CBS Face The Nation interview this morning, Trump said something completely inappropriate about the Robert Mueller report. But he also revealed something big in the process.

Here’s what Donald Trump said when he was asked today if he plans to allow the Department of Justice to make Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report public: “I don’t know. It depends. I have no idea what it’s going to say.” Most people are getting hung up on the fact that Trump just admitted he plans to read the report, and see how bad it is for him, before he decides whether to release it. But that’s not the part that matters here.

Trump just gave away that he thinks Robert Mueller is simply going to file a report and go home, and that’ll be it, as if Mueller were turning in a book report like a school assignment. The media keeps pretending this is what’s going to happen, because it’s an effective way of scaring people into staying tuned in; Trump might magically get away with it all. But back in the real world, there is a precisely zero percent chance that Mueller will simply hand in a report and call it a day.

We don’t know precisely what endgame moves Robert Mueller will make in order to destroy Donald Trump and trigger his ouster. Will he arrest Trump’s family? Will he indict Trump himself? Will he seize Trump Tower? We’ll see. But as long as Donald Trump is still under the laughably idiotic impression that Mueller is simply going to file a report, it means Trump is even more outmatched than we thought.
