Donald Trump tips off just how petrified he is of Robert Mueller’s testimony
We’re now about forty-eight hours away from Robert Mueller’s long-awaited public testimony about his investigation into Donald Trump’s crimes. So how bad is this going to be for Trump? Here’s an idea, let’s ask Trump himself. No wait, we can’t, because he’s too busy melting down about Robert Mueller.
Donald Trump posted this bizarre tirade this morning: “Highly conflicted Robert Mueller should not be given another bite at the apple. In the end it will be bad for him and the phony Democrats in Congress who have done nothing but waste time on this ridiculous Witch Hunt. Result of the Mueller Report, NO COLLUSION, NO OBSTRUCTION! But the questions should be asked, why were all of Clinton’s people given immunity, and why were the text messages of Peter S and his lover, Lisa Page, deleted and destroyed right after they left Mueller, and after we requested them(this is Illegal)?”
Okay, where do we even start? Trump continues to falsely imply that Robert Mueller has already testified and is now testifying again, which is simply not the case no matter how many times Trump repeats that oddball lie. Also, Mueller’s report found both collusion and obstruction, and spelled both out in detail; the report simply declined to state that either the collusion or obstruction rose a criminal level.
Then there’s the surreal part where Donald Trump tries to drag everyone from Hillary Clinton to Peter Strzok (whose name he’s clearly afraid to even try to spell) into this. Trump is giving away that his allies are planning to hurl nonsense conspiracy theories at Mueller, which we expect he’ll swat away easily. Trump is also giving away that he’s petrified of what Mueller is about to do to him.
