Just a few weeks ago, the Biden campaign kicked off their first campaign event – a speech in Valley Forge, PA, that was so well-received they raised $1 million in just 24 hours of President Biden leaving the podium. Once again, the Biden campaign has made history: They’re the first of any presidential campaign to have raised $117 million in its fourth quarter of the year before an election. Once again, they’ve hit another record with nearly one million contributors who have steadily donated to the campaign early on and continue to send small donations – the average being $42, with nearly 97% of contributions under $200.

To put things in perspective, we’re roughly where we were in 2022 when the Dobbs decision came down, but much further out in the election cycle: Despite the regular doom and glooming for Democrats that corporate media was drumming up, Democrats continued to fundraise and widely outspend the Republicans. At the time of writing, Donald Trump’s campaign (which doesn’t really even seem to have a manager), has raised only $38 million, despite the usual massive cash advantages that a president seeking re-election often enjoys. Even worse for him, and the party which itself hasn’t done so great on fundraising, partly because the people put in charge of it often pocket for themselves, is that a good deal of whatever Trump grifts for his re-election bid is going to be spent on legal bills.

Regardless of what polls are telling us, donors, particularly small donors, don’t open their wallets unless they think you can and should win the election. That’s why if you can, you should donate to re-elect President Biden and Vice President Harris today or join their campaign and volunteer to support the Democratic Party down the ballot as we head into the Nov 5 general election.
