More bad news today for Sidney Powell – and it could be about to get a lot uglier for her

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Former Trump attorney Sidney Powell once famously claimed that she was to unleash the “Kraken” and somehow magically overturn the 2020 election results. She’s mostly never been heard from since. But now she’s getting some bad news today – and it could be about to get a lot uglier for her.

Powell was hit with court sanctions for the “baseless” legal action she tried to take regarding the 2020 election. Today the U.S. Court of Appeals upheld those sanctions. Powell can still try appealing to the Supreme Court, but it’s unlikely to even be willing to hear her case.

Of course sanctions are just a slap on the wrist. Over the past week major news outlets have begun reporting that Jack Smith’s Trump 2020 election probe has been focusing on attorneys like Sidney Powell who tried to overturn the election in court. Powell’s former ally Rudy Giuliani has reportedly even met with Smith sometime in the past few weeks.

This all points to the inevitability of someone flipping on someone. Unless Sidney Powell has already cut a cooperation deal with the DOJ, she could be looking at getting criminally indicted before much longer. At that point she’ll wish that sanctions were still the only thing she had to worry about.
