More bad news for Netanyahu

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

U.S. President Joe Biden is continuing to perform a delicate but necessary dance in dealing with key American ally Israel, which was recently attacked by terrorists and also happens to be led by corrupt Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Biden and the rest of the world are trying to shove Netanyahu out the door while also coming to Israel’s defense.

Even as this tricky situation plays out, suffice it to say that things are getting far trickier for Netanyahu himself. One recent approval rating poll had Netanyahu’s favorability at just 18%. That’s the kind of ugly number that could be off by several points and still be devastating to him. And if you think that Netanyahu might be in one of those situations where he’s unpopular but still remains viable because it’s a time of war, new polling has him 25 points behind his biggest rival in head to head polling.

In other words there is nothing to suggest that the current wartime situation is helping to save Netanyahu. He’s historically unpopular, and he’s become even more unpopular since Israel was attacked by Hamas. It’s always tricky to predict when or how he’ll be ousted, but suffice it to say that the prospects keep getting worse for him.
