More bad news for Lauren Boebert

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Given that Lauren Boebert’s ex-husband called the police on her this past week after the two got into a physical fight, is it possible that things could get even worse for her? Apparently they just did.

Boebert recently decided to abandon Colorado’s slightly right leaning 3rd House District in favor of running in Colorado’s far more right wing 4th House District in 2024. It’s obvious that she was afraid she’d lose to standout Democratic candidate Adam Frisch in the 3rd District. But at the time Boebert made the move, I wrote that she might end up regretting it. Although the 4th District is so far to the right that the Republican nominee ends up winning the general election in a blowout, Boebert wasn’t necessarily going to end up being that nominee.

Sure enough, now the other Republicans who want that 4th District seat for themselves are ganging up on Boebert, calling her out for being a carpetbagger who doesn’t belong in the district. Boebert is indeed vulnerable to such campaign tactics. And while right wing voters don’t usually care much about personal scandals, Boebert’s personal life has become such a grotesque soap opera that even Republican primary voters in Colorado’s 4th District might decide they’d rather have someone who doesn’t constantly make tabloid headlines.
