More bad news for Eric Adams

It does look like by the end of this weekend. Andrew Cuomo may have thrown his hat in the ring for the New York City Mayoral race. A super PAC has been developed to help Cuomo achieve his goal, and that would never happen were he not planning to get in the race. Reports are he will make a final decision on Thursday, but many are saying the decision has already been made.

There is also talk that he will announce his run over the weekend, perhaps on Sunday. This is bad news for Eric Adams. Bad news indeed. The two men, at one point, could’ve been considered friends. They had been spotted out for dinner several times. Como seemed at one point to be a huge fan of Adams.

Of course, Adams has been on a downward spiral, numbers falling dramatically in the last few months. Others will also be running for the nomination, so nothing is set in stone, and we don’t yet know what Adams will do. As for Cuomo, he is the front-runner right now in virtually every poll that comes out.

That must sting Eric Adams, particularly since Adams is underwater in the polls and can’t seem to get above 6 to 10%. Will he even run at all? The other thing is this: There is to be a gathering of potential nominees. Adams was supposed to attend, but on the advice of his lawyer, he is not going because he was told to wait for the court’s decision about this case.

That must be eating him up, watching others talk about a race he wants to win, and doesn’t have a chance of winning. This could get very entertaining. I’m not convinced Adams will throw his Trump groveling hat in the ring. I mean, stranger things have happened, but he’s in such deep Doodoo now that we do not know. Stay tuned.
