Mitch McConnell just stepped in it
The turtle has a plan. That plan appears to try to ruin the lives of women even more than the Supreme Court is trying to do. That is because turtle McConnell is speaking out. And what he is saying should chill the souls of women everywhere.
“If the leaked opinion became the final opinion, legislative bodies — not only at the state level — but at the federal level — certainly could legislate in that area.”
“It’s possible.”
And there you go. Saying the quiet part out loud is what Moscow Mitch just did. This is not a surprise. They will come for everything and anything — if they win. WHY would Republicans leave it up to the states? We know they won’t. Because, at heart, they want a dictatorship.
Mitch has made an error, though — a big one. By saying the quiet part out loud, he has confirmed the GOP’s plans for women — and inspired us even more. Thank you, Moscow Mitch, for being honest — the one time in your life you likely were.
The GOP will come for everybody’s rights, and as for abortion, they will not stop until there is a federal abortion ban. You know this. I know this.
But the turtle is slipping. He gave something away. He gave away the whole damn playbook. It is a playbook we will never submit to. But at least now we have confirmation. And our push-back must be more significant than ever before.
