Donald Trump’s attorney’s attorney is “missing”
Michael Avenatti, the attorney for Stormy Daniels, is having fun this week – because he’s winning. Their lawsuit against Donald Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen has at least partially led to an FBI raid of Cohen’s office and residence, and Trump has been dragged right into the center of it. David Schwartz, the attorney for Michael Cohen, doesn’t appear to be having fun this week, as he’s gone “missing.”
That’s the word being used by Avenatti, at least. Ever since Monday’s FBI raid, it’s been Trump’s legal team taking the lead in the courtroom, even though Cohen is the confirmed target of the SDNY U.S. Attorney’s office investigation in question. So what happened to Cohen’s legal team? Specifically, where has Cohen’s attorney been since the raid? That’s a question that Avenatti would now like answered.
Avenatti tweeted this today: “David Schwartz (Mr. Trump’s lawyer’s lawyer) is missing. He has not been seen since his Megyn Kelly interview 2 weeks ago. I wonder if he is in the audio/docs that were seized from Mr. Cohen by the FBI? If you see him, please give him a hug (not to be confused with “thug.”)” It’s worth pointing out that, while we don’t know what Avenatti does or doesn’t verifiably know about Schwartz, we have seen a consistent pattern in which Avenatti has been ahead of major developments. He tweeted that Cohen had helped a major Republican Party donor cover up an affair, and sure enough, that story surfaced the next day, down to the last detail.
So now we’re at a point where a porn star and her attorney are running circles around the President of the United States, his attorney, and his attorney’s attorney. In fact it’s becoming such a one-sided fight that Stormy Daniels’ attorney is now openly taunting the other side. Should we be looking for Michael Cohen’s attorney on the back of a milk carton?
