Donald Trump makes difficult Minneapolis situation even worse with deranged late night meltdown

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The situation unfolding in Minneapolis tonight is a difficult one to say the least. There is little understanding as to why the police officer who murdered George Floyd hasn’t been arrested or charged yet. Widespread peaceful protests have now spilled over into violence in some parts of the city. It’s a tense, difficult mess. Now Donald Trump is trying to make it worse, posting this deranged tweet at nearly one in the morning:

I can’t stand back & watch this happen to a great American City, Minneapolis. A total lack of leadership. Either the very weak Radical Left Mayor, Jacob Frey, get his act together and bring the City under control, or I will send in the National Guard & get the job done right These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!

What kind of garbage is this? The President of the United States is now threatening to start having people shot, in exact words. He’s dishonestly attacking the city’s Mayor. And he’s using the word “thugs” in a blatantly and intentionally racist manner. Don Lemon said it best tonight when he said that no one wants to hear from Donald Trump on this issue.
