Mike Pence waves the white flag
After Mike Pence arrogantly blew off the Mayo Clinic’s warnings and refused to wear a mask while visiting patients and medical workers, he spent a full week trying to spin the situation while making it even worse. Now he’s finally waving the white flag.
At one point Mike Pence sent his wife out there to tell the lie that the Mayo Clinic hadn’t actually warned him. When a member of the White House press corps revealed that Pence had in fact been told to wear a mask, Pence’s people threatened to retaliate against that reporter.
Now Mike Pence is finally giving up the ghost. During a Fox News town hall tonight, Pence was asked about the topic. He tried pushing some rhetoric about testing, before finally admitting “I should have worn a mask.” Why couldn’t he have just said that a week ago?
Mike Pence is the kind of jerk who doesn’t think he needs to hold himself to the same standards as regular Americans – and he’s the kind of arrogant fool who thought he could BS his way through this. The mask scandal only became a lot bigger because he spent a week being idiotic about it.
