Mike Pence screws up and basically admits Donald Trump lost

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $2097 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,

Mike Pence has apparently finished his vacation in Florida, and now he’s traveling to Georgia to campaign on behalf of Republican Senate candidates in the Georgia runoffs. Here’s the thing. According to CNN and NBC, Pence is calling his rallies the “Defend the Majority” rallies – and that’s a problem for him.

Even if the Democrats win both Georgia runoffs, the Senate will be 50-50. At that point majority control of the Senate goes to the Vice President’s party. Donald Trump is still claiming that he won the election, which would mean that Pence would remain VP for the next four years, which in turn would mean that the Republicans would keep the Senate majority at 50-50 even if they lose both runoffs.

In other words, by calling his rallies the “Defend the Majority” rallies, Mike Pence is basically admitting that Donald Trump has lost. We’re pretty sure Pence wasn’t supposed to admit that. Oops. This shows how much difficulty the Republicans are having when it comes to simultaneously trying to argue that Trump still magically has a chance, and that the Georgia Senate runoffs are crucial. Those two things can’t both be true. At this point Trump is in the way of the GOP agenda.
