Mike Pence is playing both sides

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

According to multiple reports, Mike Pence is planning to fight a subpoena from Jack Smith for his testimony. It is difficult for me to believe he will do this. For one I firmly believe Pence is the one who leaked the story in the first place.

And second, Pence is not stupid. (OK — He is sometimes stupid but not about matters like this.) He knows the drill. He knows Smith will get his testimony, and there is not one damn thing he can do about it.

So I am not so sure Pence will REALLY go through with this fight. Perhaps he is just trying to satisfy Maga by walking a fine line here. He also has to know this will make him look ridiculous.

According to reports, Pence’s argument of choice is that his former role as president of the senate shields him from testimony. What a STUPID idea. This is why I am saying – I’m not sure I believe this. Even Mike Pence couldn’t be so foolish. (Could he?)

Sources are saying Pence is doing this out of a sense of duty. What a crock! The only duty Pence ever felt was to get the best book deal possible where he already spilled every possible secret there is to spill.

This will not end well if Pence goes through with it. No matter. Jack Smith is worlds above Pence in the intelligence arena, and he will have no problem at all getting what he wants from Pence, whether Mikey likes it or not.
