Mike Pence gets told off by NFL football star Eric Reid
If you never understood why some black NFL football players were taking a knee before games, this week’s events in Minneapolis should make it all a lot more clear. They were peacefully protesting over police brutality against black people, which is far too prevalent with far too little accountability.
NFL star Eric Reid is one of the players who led the way in the kneeling movement. If you recall, Vice President Mike Pence staged a bizarre stunt a couple years ago in which he traveled across the country to attend an NFL game, just so he could walk out in protest once the kneeling began. Now Pence is pretending to take the high road in a mess he helped create, and Reid isn’t letting him get away with it:

You were singing a different tune when you rejected our peaceful protest at the 49’ers vs Colts game, wasting tax payers’ money to stage your publicity stunt. https://t.co/iGSpjFSnZD
