Mike Pence just did something really stupid that’ll ensure he’s going down in the whistleblower scandal
Last night the Trump regime leaked details to the media of Mike Pence’s involvement in Trump’s Ukraine whistleblower scandal, in a clear attempt at shifting the focus of the criminal scandal from Trump to Pence. Either Trump thinks the GOP Senate is less likely to remove him if he can take Pence down first, or Trump just spitefully wants to take Pence down with him.
Either way, it left Mike Pence with a crucial choice to make. He could cut a resignation plea deal and effectively immunize himself from future criminal prosecution for his role in the scandal. Or he could quietly remain on Donald Trump’s sinking ship and hope that he’s the only one who survives it, landing him in the White House. Or Pence could incriminate himself in Trump’s crimes and go down with him. It turns out Pence has already loudly made his choice.
Mike Pence just defended Donald Trump’s Ukraine antics, and called for Joe Biden to be investigated, according to a stunning new tweet CNN’s Kaitlan Collins. Pence said this of Biden: “The American people have a right to know if the vice president of the United States, or his family, profited from his position.”
This is unmistakably, the end of Mike Pence. He just ensured that when Donald Trump goes down for this scandal – and he will – Pence will go with him. There’s no longer a scenario in which Trump gets ousted for this scandal but Pence somehow survives it and inherits the Oval Office, because Pence just very publicly identified himself as a participant in Trump’s criminal conspiracy. We don’t know why Pence is doing this – but he’s toast.
