President Pelosi? Donald Trump tests positive for coronavirus, Mike Pence potentially exposed

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Sometime after midnight, Donald Trump announced on Twitter that he and Melania have both tested positive for coronavirus. We’re still waiting to see if he falls ill, but it’s worth pointing out that his age, weight, and poor health put him at extreme risk.

At this point it’s not far fetched to begin talking about the possibility of Mike Pence assuming the presidency before the election. Donald Trump is on track to lose big anyway, and now that he has coronavirus, it gives him an excuse to resign and avoid the embarrassment of getting blown out. At this late date the Republicans would have virtually no chance of winning the election if Trump were to drop out; there are no magic wands when it comes to that sort of thing.

But it appears that Pence has also been exposed to the virus. So as we await word on Pence’s test results – and you’d think maybe they’d have announced it by now if it were negative – it’s not that far fetched to begin talking about the remote possibility of President Pelosi. This would require both Trump and Pence becoming too ill to carry out the basics of the job. But coronavirus can be ruthless. Stay tuned.
