Mike Pence’s disappearing act just became a full blown scandal
Yesterday we learned that Mike Pence’s plane had to turn around while on its way to a New Hampshire event in favor of returning to the White House, due to an “emergency.” Then we learned that Pence and his plane never actually left Washington DC to begin with. A day and a half later, we still have no idea what really happened, or what’s being covered up – but now the story has taken an even stranger turn.
This evening Mike Pence’s spokesman Marc Short announced that it’ll be “weeks from now” before he can reveal the real story behind Pence’s disappearing act yesterday, says MSNBC. Wait a minute here. There is no possible above-board reason why Pence’s camp would be announcing this. Even if it were due to some legitimate security threat that can’t be publicly revealed yet, there’s no way that anyone involved could know right now that it’ll take weeks to get to the bottom of it.
So what’s really going on here? Frankly, we don’t know. One potential clue is that the Trump regime made the oddly specific announcement that it was not due to a health issue. Why even say this, unless it was a health issue? And if he simply had something like the flu, why lie? Are they trying to cover up something major about Pence’s health? There’s no reason for us to presume that Pence has some kind of health problem, or that Pence had to cover because Trump has some kind of health problem – but the Trump regime is oddly bringing it up.
Another clue is that Vladimir Putin also reportedly cleared his schedule yesterday, over a military incident. What are the odds that Putin and Mike Pence both had to clear their schedule for the day in mysterious fashion, and it was a coincidence? With the Trump regime, nothing involving Russia is a coincidence. Finally, there’s this past week’s buzz – which obviously came from Team Trump itself – that Pence could be replaced on the 2020 ticket. In any case, Pence’s camp just gave away that there’s indeed a scandal here, and that a coverup is being attempted as we speak.
