Mike Pence goes berserk after Gordon Sondland takes him down

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Gordon Sondland didn’t just drive a stake through the heart of Donald Trump’s presidency today. He also testified that he personally told Mike Pence about the Ukraine quid pro quo, thus ensuring that Mike Pence will never inherit the presidency when Trump goes down. Suffice it t say that Pence isn’t happy about this.

Mike Pence’s office released this statement just now, as relayed by the New York Times: “The Vice President never had a conversation with Gordon Sondland about investigating the Bidens, Burisma, or the conditional release of financial aid to Ukraine based upon potential investigations Ambassador Gordon Sondland was never alone with Vice President Pence on the September 1 trip to Poland. This alleged discussion recalled by Ambassador Sondland never happened. Multiple witnesses have testified under oath that Vice President Pence never raised Hunter Biden, former Vice President Joe Biden, Crowdstrike, Burisma, or investigations in any conversation with Ukrainians or President Zelensky before, during, or after the September 1 meeting.”

So this is weird. Gordon Sondland is desperately dropping truth bombs today because he’s trying to avoid getting charged with perjury for having given previous faulty testimony under oath. There’s just no way that, in the process of fully coming clean, Sondland would just make up a fake meeting with Mike Pence during a trip, because that could easily be disproven by other witnesses.

In fact, not only is it a safe bet that Mike Pence is lying, it shouldn’t be too difficult to track down other people on that trip who can corroborate at least parts of what Gordon Sondland is claiming about his interactions with Pence. Mike Pence is taking the very strange route of trying to push back against this by telling a bonkers lie that’ll soon blow up in his face, when what Pence should be doing right now is working on a resignation plea deal.
