Mike Pence gives completely asinine response when he’s cornered about not wearing a mask at Mayo Clinic
Donald Trump thinks people should drink Lysol. Mike Pence thinks he’s too pretty to wear a face mask while visiting a hospital during a pandemic. These may not be the dumbest or most injurious things that these two psychotic freaks have ever done, but they could end up being the lasting image for each of them.
The Mayo Clinic announced that it had informed Mike Pence in advance that he was required to wear a mask, and he still refused to do it – that’s how ugly this is for him. After this debacle, Pence was dumb enough to put himself in front of reporters, and one of them asked him about not wearing a mask. His response was utterly deranged.
Mike Pence asserted that because he’s regularly tested for coronavirus, it means he doesn’t have it, and therefore he can’t give it to anyone else. This is wrong on both a leadership and factual level. Any real leader would wear the mask whether it was medically necessary or not, in order to set a good example. And anyone with a clue about coronavirus testing knows that your results are generally negative unless you’re symptomatic, so Pence could be falsely testing negative while he has the virus.
Mike Pence should resign over this. In fact he should be facing criminal charges over it. That won’t happen, at least not right now. But Pence had better keep in mind that if Trump loses the election, he and Trump will both be charged with negligent homicide or something similar, for having lied to the American people about this pandemic from the start. Trump and Pence will both end up in prison.
