Mick Mulvaney just went on TV and blew it for Donald Trump yet again

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney was already in the process of having one of the most humiliating weeks of anyone in modern American political history. Mulvaney’s Ukraine confession has accelerated the downfall of Donald Trump’s presidency, and Mulvaney’s G7 Doral announcement has since been walked back after it became a disaster for Trump.

So what is Mick Mulvaney doing to try to atone for it all? He went on ABC This Week this morning, and he promptly found a whole new way to make things even worse for Donald Trump by saying something almost hilariously stupid.

Even though Trump pulled the plug on the G7 Doral stunt last night under mounting criticism from Democrats and Republicans in Congress, Mulvaney decided that his best bet was to defend the original plan. He said this of Trump: “ At the end of the day, he still considers himself to be in the hospitality business.”

That’s right, Mick Mulvaney just flat out stated that Donald Trump still sees himself primarily as a hotelier, and not as President of the United States. Wow is that stupid. This comes at a time when an increasing majority of Americans already want Trump removed from being President of the United States.
