Michigan Attorney General goes after fake Trump electors

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The Republican fake Elector fiasco scandal has the potential to be one of the biggest scandals ever seen for the Grand Old Forgers. As Palmer Report has laid out, certain Republicans sent forged papers to the national archives. These papers falsely claimed to be from the actual electors, and they said Donald Trump had won the 2020 Presidential election.

One of the states where this occurred in Michigan. Dana Nessel, the Attorney General for the state of Michigan has referred the matter over to the feds. Nessel says there was a “coordinated effort” between Republicans in different states to do this. This is most likely why the lettering and general format for the fake documents were startlingly similar state to state.

It really shouldn’t surprise anyone. The Republicans got behind insurrection; why not forgery? AG Nessel wants the feds to open a criminal investigation into the 16 Republicans she believes are responsible for the scheme in Michigan.

It is quite obvious that she is taking this extremely seriously. This whole scheme was perhaps one of the worst ideas the GOP has ever had — and they have had many a bad idea. How did they think they would get away with it?

It would appear the GOP as a collective body has severe delusions of grandeur. They certainly have demonstrated they think they are above the law. The Maga world, meanwhile, are losing their minds over this story. They are calling the forgeries “political dissent.”

It amuses me greatly that whenever the Republicans are caught doing something illegal or wrong, they cry “freedom.” The bottom line is a group of immoral and cowardly thieves attempted a clumsy and brainless heist.

But the sleuths were onto them — and the thieves got caught. And now, some of these forgers face years in prison because of their fidelity to a man who doesn’t give a damn about any last one of them.
