Michael Cohen explains why Donald Trump isn’t even bothering

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Newly released campaign finance disclosures reveal that not only is Donald Trump’s campaign alarmingly low on cash, Trump himself has only donated a total of eight thousand dollars to his dying campaign – a far cry from the hundred million dollars he publicly vowed to give his campaign if it became necessary.

Michael Cohen is now spelling out on Twitter why Donald Trump isn’t even bothering to try to float his campaign: “there is no liquidity, and he knows he is going to lose. He’s thinking to himself…why throw away what I have left!”

This furthers our belief that Donald Trump has no cash on hand and no way to get any cash – meaning he’s effectively broke. It helps explain why he’s spent so much time focusing on so many comparatively small dollar schemes and scams since taking office: he’s always trying to stave off bankruptcy for another day.

It’s also notable that Michael Cohen believes Donald Trump is expecting to lose. It would help explain why Trump’s behavior has reached a new level of erraticism over the past week, ranging from unhinged dancing, to threatening to flee the country if he loses. Of course Trump will only lose if we turn out and vote in expected numbers, so let’s get to work!
