Merrick Garland’s DOJ dishes out consequences for MAGA loons

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Consequences. Such a little word filled with such significant meaning. Consequences are what so many of us want. It’s what we demand. Nobody should be above the law, no matter who they might be. And in one regard, consequences have started to happen.

Palmer Report has laid out what has happened and is happening in the not-so-friendly skies. All over the country, onboard airplanes, tantrums are being thrown. Chaos is all over. These fits are usually from the world of Maga. In the dark recesses of their propaganda-fueled minds, consequences do not exist. Many of them think they can do just about anything and get away with it.

Some of these things include having temper tantrums on airplanes, punching flight attendants, spitting on people, and cussing passengers out. Such a lovely and polite group! But consequences might just be coming for them as consequences are known to do.

During this year along, a whopping 5,033 incidents have been reported on airlines. 3,642 of these complaints involve masks. And now, some of the complaints are heading to the FBI.

It turns out that the Department of Justice has been working closely with the FAA. The purpose of this work is — consequences. So, now some of the more severe incidents are being looked at for both Civil and criminal penalties. Two cases were charged criminally just this past week. And now, many planes are also being met when they land with officers who take the person creating chaos into custody.

Sara Nelson is President of the Association of Flight Attendants, and she is relieved. “Expeditiously referring the most violent, physical assaults against crew members and passengers to the Department of Justice for public prosecution is the most effective way to deter bad actors and put a stop to the spike in disruptive passengers,” she said.

Very true. And Maga appears none too happy about these developments either, with many yelling indignantly about “freedom.” Maga seems to think that freedom is code for “we can break the law and do anything we want.” This is not freedom. This is the squawking of babies. But perhaps with the intervention of the FBI and the Justice Department, life in the friendly skies will be just a little bit safer.
