Merrick Garland has got to be loving today’s public hearing. With this much overwhelming evidence, he’s definitely going to be criminally charging Donald Trump. These hearings are building public support for it, which will make Garland’s life easier when he does bring the charges.

Legally speaking, pleading the fifth is not considered a confession. But when you plead the Fifth in response to a specific question, it does tell prosecutors precisely where to try to dig for more evidence against you.
