Donald Trump’s stooge Mercedes Schlapp goes on CNN and completely humiliates herself

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump doesn’t seem to have much to say for himself right now. He’s been tweeting less frequently than usual. In fact he’s said nothing about his niece Mary Trump’s new book. Instead Trump has been sitting and stewing while his surrogates get in front of the cameras and try to make his argument for him. The trouble is, he doesn’t have an argument for them to make.

Trump White House adviser Mercedes Schlapp went on CNN this morning and tried to claim that Donald Trump isn’t actually behind in the polls, because the Quinnipiac poll is somehow biased toward Democrats. CNN host Poppy Harlow shot this down by referencing Trump’s various tweets over the years in which he quoted Quinnipiac poll numbers that were in his favor. There’s also the reality that Trump is currently behind in every poll, not just Quinnipiac.

Mercedes Schlapp also tried to make the case that Joe Biden isn’t overseeing the current pandemic particularly well. It’s almost as if she and the Trump regime are trying to convince the public that Biden is currently President, and Trump is running as an outside challenger. Yeah, that’s not going to work. Schlapp had nothing to work with today – but it’s clear that she’s also not very good at this.
