Donald Trump’s mental breakdown is complete

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump’s psychological collapse began a long time ago. But his total mental breakdown, the one that has him hallucinating about things that never happened, making up people and quotes who don’t exist, and all but barking at the moon, began on Sunday morning when he heard his longtime pal Roger Stone announce on Meet The Press that he expects to be indicted and arrested soon. Since that time, Trump has gone bonkers on a level not thought possible. After his actions this morning, it’s fair to say that his mental breakdown is complete.

When Trump suffered his psychotic break on Sunday, it caused him to suddenly believe there truly had been a spy inside his campaign from the start. He decided that, at all cost, the circumstances surrounding this spy had to be exposed. It’s why he was willing to commit yet another count of felony obstruction of justice by ordering the DOJ to investigate itself. It’s why his tweets have gone from their usual level of dementedness to now full-on sounding like the Unabomber. The guy sounds like he belongs in a rubber room.

Trump woke up this morning and decided that this mentally deranged hallucination would be a good thing to share with the public: “Look how things have turned around on the Criminal Deep State. They go after Phony Collusion with Russia, a made up Scam, and end up getting caught in a major SPY scandal the likes of which this country may never have seen before! What goes around, comes around!” He’s convinced himself that there was an actual spy in his campaign. It’s unclear if he’s hallucinating that U.S. intel asset Stefan Halper was actually a key part of his campaign, when the guy was never even around, or if he’s convinced himself that an actual key person in his campaign was the spy. Either way, this man is in need of immediate psychiatric attention.

Donald Trump went on to double down on his hallucinations, tweeting “SPYGATE could be one of the biggest political scandals in history!” No sane person has any idea what he’s talking about, or why he thinks the FBI’s routine investigation of his campaign’s crimes is somehow a scandal for the FBI. Oh, and then he tweeted a love letter to infamous pro-Trump buffoon Tomi Lahren for no apparent reason, because that makes sense. Then, just for kicks, he tweeted a quote from James Clapper that was never spoken by James Clapper. This guy belongs in a straitjacket.
