Donald Trump has bizarre meltdown about women
Based on his “horseface” attack on Stormy Daniels this week and his ongoing “Pocahontas” attack on Senator Elizabeth Warren, it’s clear that Donald Trump is only trying to ingratiate himself to women who have no self respect. Even as Trump continues to harm his party’s chances with mainstream women votes in the midterms, he’s now decided that his general awfulness is somehow going to help him with women voters.
Donald Trump posted this utterly laughable tweet on Wednesday afternoon, lacking any context, and apparently based on nothing more than his own increasingly delusional fantasies about his popularity: “College educated women want safety, security and healthcare protections – very much along with financial and economic health for themselves and our Country. I supply all of this far better than any Democrat (for decades, actually). That’s why they will be voting for me!”
Meanwhile back in the real world, women are leading the charge against Donald Trump. Numerous women are running for office as Democrats in 2018 and seeking to unseat sexist Republican incumbents in the process. Several of the names being mentioned as the possible next Democratic nominee for President are women. And it’s almost as if Trump forgot that the Women’s March, which saw millions of women in the street protesting against him, even happened.
For the record, Donald Trump’s approval rating is lower now than it was when the Women’s March took place. His sudden claim that he’s going to win the women’s vote is particularly asinine, considering that he just put an alleged serial sexual assaulter on the Supreme Court who doesn’t believe in women’s basic legal rights.
