Donald Trump has completely whacked out meltdown about coronavirus vaccine

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Now that Donald Trump has lost the election, we think it’s important to ignore the hallucinatory fantasies that he’s been tweeting about somehow magically overturning the election result. This is, laughably, not going to happen. Even Twitter has begun burying Trump’s tweets on the topic. But now Trump is ranting about the new coronavirus vaccine, and that may be worth paying attention to.

Trump just posted a Twitter tirade accusing Pfizer of having purposely waited until after the election to announce a coronavirus vaccine today. This is absurd. He’s accusing Pfizer of having purposely let a bunch of people die, and of having passed up a huge profit opportunity, just so it could delay an announcement that probably wouldn’t have had any impact on the election anyway. Trump is also accusing the FDA of criminally conspiring with the Democratic Party for incoherent reasons.

So why does this matter? If Pfizer remains on track, the initial doses of the vaccine could go out to high risk people while Donald Trump is still in office. If Trump is already insisting that the vaccine companies are conspiring against him, he could end up also claiming that the entire vaccine is a hoax.

So we have to be prepared for the possibility that, even as a legitimate Fauci-approved, Bright-approved, scientist-approved coronavirus vaccine goes out the door, Trump might try to muddy the waters. It’ll be more important than ever that we make sure everyone around us knows to listen to the scientists, and not to their idiot Trump-supporting cousin, when it comes to the vaccine.
