Donald Trump has deranged meltdown after new bombs target Cory Booker and James Clapper
Two additional bombs were intercepted today, one addressed to U.S. Senator Cory Booker, the other for former U.S. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. Both appear to be directly related to the ten bombs previously mailed to the Obamas, the Clintons, and other prominent Democratic political figures. After today’s latest bombings, Donald Trump delivered a response which was deranged and disturbing even by his standards.
Donald Trump set the tone for the day by attacking CNN early this morning and implying that the bombs were the cable news network’s fault. Then just hours later, a package was found addressed to James Clapper at the CNN Time Warner building in New York City. So was this enough to get Trump to change his tone? Of course not. After Democratic Senator Cory Booker was targeted, Trump jumped on Twitter and began making legislative demands of the Democrats, threatening to “play a much tougher hand” against them if they don’t. Then it got worse.
Trump then posted this inexplicable tweet complaining about his own Twitter follower count, seemingly referring to himself as a “Blimp” in the process: “Twitter has removed many people from my account and, more importantly, they have seemingly done something that makes it much harder to join – they have stifled growth to a point where it is obvious to all. A few weeks ago it was a Rocket Ship, now it is a Blimp! Total Bias?”
Then came Donald Trump’s psychotic meltdown. He tweeted “Republicans are doing so well in early voting, and at the polls, and now this “Bomb” stuff happens and the momentum greatly slows – news not talking politics. Very unfortunate, what is going on.” That’s right, he’s now implying that these bombs are somehow a hoax, and he’s already using it to lay the groundwork for making excuses if his party does poorly in the midterms elections in ten days.
