Even Melania Trump seems to be rooting for Donald Trump to lose
As Donald Trump’s behavior continues to grow more erratic and confusing by the day, it’s not entirely clear if his unhinged mind understands that he’s on track to lose. It’s almost as if he wanders back and forth between delusionally believing the fake positive polls his handlers feed him, and believing the devastating real polls he’s seeing on TV.
But what about the people around him? Do his kids think he still has a chance? After all, they’re facing prison if he loses. Donald Trump Jr and Eric Trump have been completely losing their minds during recent public appearances, suggesting they’re getting nervous. Then there’s Melania.
Even as Donald Trump falsely insists that he’s no longer capable of spreading or catching coronavirus, Melania Trump is now making a point of trying to bring the White House coronavirus outbreak under control. More to the point, she’s making sure the media reports that she’s trying to bring the White House coronavirus outbreak under control. She doesn’t seem to care that this undermines Donald’s own election messaging – or maybe that’s the point.
It’s as if Melania Trump has seen her husband’s tax returns, realized the money she’s been hanging around for doesn’t exist, and wants his presidency over with so he can go to prison and she can simply move on with her life. We have zero interest in what she’ll do after Donald’s downfall. But it’s notable that at this point even she seems to be trying to help make it happen.
