Melania Trump just gave away how much trouble Donald Trump is in
It’s been more than twenty-four hours since the news broke that Donald Trump called U.S. military troops “losers” and “suckers,” and it’s now clear that the story isn’t going away. It’s been confirmed by several news outlets (including Fox News), and Trump was fully unable to change the national narrative today when he held a slapdash press conference.
In fact Trump made things even worse when he preemptively attacked General John Kelly, under the presumption that Kelly was the source for the reporting. With things spiraling out of control for Donald Trump tonight, one definitive sign emerged of just how much trouble he’s in – and it came from Melania Trump.
Melania posted this tweet: “@TheAtlantic story is not true. It has become a very dangerous time when anonymous sources are believed above all else, & no one knows their motivation. This is not journalism – It is activism. And it is a disservice to the people of our great nation.”
There’s not much point in bothering to refute Melania’s tweet; we don’t expect it to change anyone’s mind about the situation anyway. What’s important about Melania’s tweet is that it gives away just how panicked the entire Trump regime is right now, and how they’re willing to throw anything at the wall to try to stop the bleeding.
