Melania Trump’s lawyer slams Donald Trump
Donald Trump has been having such a no good, horrible, very bad day, it’s almost impossible to fully categorize. He was named an unindicted co-conspirator in a criminal investigation. He was formally accused, by his own former attorney, of having conspired to illegally alter the outcome of the election. The head of his campaign was convicted of eight felonies. The only way today could have gotten any worse for Donald Trump is if his wife Melania got involved. Sure enough, that’s what happened.
Melania Trump’s immigration attorney Michael Wildes decided that today would be a good time to go publicly attack Donald Trump over his immigration policy. Wildes conducted an interview with The Hill and flat out stated that “Right now, this president is shutting America’s door and it should be hinged open to help those in need.” Wildes is confirmed to have been representing Melania as recently as 2016, when questions arose during the election about her immigration status.
It’s worth pointing out that, whether by coincidence or by design, Melania Trump’s attorney made these remarks on the same day that Michael Cohen went into court and formally accused Donald Trump of having instructed him to pay off two Trump mistresses during the election. Melania has previously taken not-so-subtle jabs at Donald whenever new revelations about his affair with Stormy Daniels have surfaced.
Anyone who’s been paying close attention has known that Paul Manafort would very likely be convicted, and that Michael Cohen would likely end up cutting a plea deal, and that Melania Trump has every intention of continuing to take ongoing stabs at Donald Trump. It’s just that no one was expecting it all to happen in the same day.
